Now that we’ve talked about the exterior of the case and its esthetics, let’s see what they’ve done to improve the internals and go over some of the features. Let me first note that in order to get into this case you must first remove the top ventilation panel. Once it’s removed you’ll find two thumb screws holding in each side panel. With these thumb screws removed all you then need to do is lift up on the panel to remove it.

Silverstone has taken the time to paint the interior of the case to match the exterior. It also features a large cut out for installing aftermarket CPU coolers without having to remove the motherboard. Now that we can take a look at the interior it becomes obvious what the side vents were for. This is for your power supply. This has to be the most unusual place I’ve seen yet for power supply mounting. There is even an extension AC cable located under the front of the case. Routing power cables actually wasn’t that difficult. Just keep in mind that there isn’t a great deal of room between the drives and the motherboard once everything is installed.

One thing I also like about this case is the mounting mechanism for mounting up to 2 SSD drives. You’ll find the mounting area for these on the back of the motherboard tray. You can also mount 3.5 mechanical drives back there as well. This will again pose an issue with cooling because there aren’t any fans that will be able to provide cooling in that area. I suppose you could install the optional 120mm fan on that side panel and hope that provides adequate air-flow. This area does make it easy to mount drives with less cable clutter; it just doesn’t make it easy for them to stay cool.

This case comes with a feature that I really wish more manufacturers would incorporate. This is that all of the included intake fans have dust filters! These are very easy to remove and clean as well. At the bottom of the case are two 180mm air penetrator fans that have corresponding air filters located under the case. One issue with this case though is that there isn’t any included cooling for hard drives or optical drives. They do include mounts for two optional 120mm fans to cool your drives, but these don’t come with any additional fans. This is something to keep in mind if you are planning to use this case with high-speed mechanical drives. Those drives do get very hot and without proper cooling could overheat.
