There are many things to consider with a system upgrade, such as what will I gain from the upgrade or which part should I upgrade or even more so at what level should I upgrade the selected component to? In many cases the graphics card is the target of the upgrade path as new games always demand more firepower and even newer features to unlock the games full pretty factor. All too often I find myself getting into the EPEEN race by trying to shove as many of the top cards as I can fit into a system the cost be damned.
Well there is a whole market of gamers who just want to be able to play their games without jumping into the EPEEN measuring contest and AMD knows this and has a whole grouping of cards that are more cost efficient but still offer some features that could blow away your favorite games. Many games these days can play very well on lower end midrange cards without a hitch as long as you are not looking to crank the game to the maximum (ULTRA) detail level and across a super high res or multiple displays.
