Overclocking the Sniper M3 is a give and take and not all because of the board due to the high thermal output from Ivy Bridge CPUs we find that our stability point depends upon cooling more than anything just as we saw on sandy Bridge all board overclock pretty similar on air and water and true potential is not really seen unless pushing the system under extreme cold. The sniper M3 clocked rather easy to 4.6 then to 4.8 where we really started to see temps climb. Vcore was pretty much all that needed to be adjusted to get a decent clock. One thing to note is that some tweaking is required to get this system stable and the more the clocks go up and the M3 definitely does take more work to get stable then we have seen from the ASUS boards we have tested and this could be due to the more fine tuned BIOS as well.
