Biostar TZ68A+ Motherboard Review

This board has been a pleasure to work with. There weren’t any problems or issues while running any of our tests. This isn’t always the case and it usually means having to redo our work, which can be very time consuming. This board ran without any problems and gave us outstanding performance. What more can you ask for?

This isn’t the nicest looking Z68 motherboard and it doesn’t have some of the enthusiast level features either. Where this board shines though is with its performance. These boards will allow Intel customers to get in on the Z68 action for a much more reasonable price. This board demonstrates Biostar’s commitment to producing high-quality products for a reasonable price. In this price range you won’t find a better board with this chipset. Certainly not with these features either.

My personal feelings on this board are that if you are looking to get a new Z68 board, but are on a tight budget, this is the board for you. With the money that you are able to save you could easily purchase a better processor or video card. I would imagine that that is exactly what most will do with the savings from this board. If you’re looking for something flashy and are willing to pay the price for it, then this board probably won’t appeal to you. For those that have the money to throw away, then go ahead. I would think that with the economy the way it there will be more people looking to get more bang for their buck. That is exactly what this board does. It comes into the market at around $120 dollars at most retailers and online sites.

Let me wrap this up by saying that Biostar has always provided an excellent value for their customers. Don’t let the looks of this board fool you. It really does perform on par with much more expensive products. It isn’t going to satisfy everyone, but it will satisfy most. That is where Biostar has figured out their place in this market. They give their customers the best performance at the best price. In this respect they really don’t have any competition. The other manufacturers are determined to continue to produce products that don’t give nearly the cost versus performance ratio. They have boards that look better don’t live up to the hype where performance is concerned. Biostar knows what their customers have come to expect and they continue to beat their expectations. This isn’t an easy thing to do in such a fickle market. Motherboard manufacturers rise and fall based on the quality of their products. Features are great, but only as good as the performance of the board itself. If the quality isn’t there then it doesn’t matter how many features are included. Biostar consistently produces quality products that are just as good, if not better than their competitors’. This is a lesson that the other manufacturers might want to learn from.
