Seidon 120XL and 240M Liquid Coolers are Too Cool

Feb 15, 2013 10:24am

The latest in Cooler Master's All-In-One (AIO) watercooling line is now shipping.

Liquid cooling is coming to the masses. Cooler Master just started shipping its Seidon 120XL and Seidon 240M solutions and, well… they're pretty cool.

As part of the company's All-In-One (AIO) watercooling line, the Seidon 120XL and 240M are both designed from the ground up. The end result boasts a unique pump-and-block design and a high-performance waterblock that is machined out of a single block of copper. That piece also includes some type of special "Micro Channels," which are designed to maximize heat dissipation.

It sounds like a pair of big products with expensive price tags. However, Cooler Master says these latest solutions are quite the opposite.

These self-contained units actually promise to save on space around the CPU socket, but with a better performance than your typical air-based CPU cooler. Operating between 600 and 2400RPM, each unit also has two included 120mm PWM fans. If you're wondering about differences, the 120XL provides more surface area with a thicker radiator, while the 240M expands to a 2-by-120mm format for even more cooling power.

It's also nice to know that Cooler Master doesn't have some completely insane idea of what's affordable, either. Both products are shipping now, with the Seidon 120XL priced at $79.99 and the Seidon 240M coming in at $99.99.
