Epson Introduces New PowerLite Classroom Projectors

The eight new models offer brightness, connectivity, and up to 10,000 hours of lamp life in economy mode.

Epson has introduced eight new PowerLite projector models with prices starting at $399 and up to 10,000 hours of lamp life in economy mode. In addition to an extended lamp life, the new models offer a range of brightness, resolutions, connectivity, and budget options. The new projectors include the PowerLite S27, X27, and W29 models. For advanced connectivity with premium audio features, the new series also includes the PowerLite 97H, 98H, 99WH, 955WH, and 965H networkable models.

All but one of the new Epson PowerLite models offer Multi PC Projection with Moderator device management software enabling users to wirelessly connect up to 50 devices and share work from up to four device screens simultaneously, including computers and iOS and Android tablets and phones. All models offer HDMI support for projecting high-quality audio and video content with one cable.

Additional features of the PowerLite 90- and 900-series include:

  • Dual HDMI Connectivity: Features two HDMI ports, one with MHL for connecting multiple digital devices, including mobile phones, tablets, and other portable devices
  • Powerful Sound: Built-in 16-watt speaker and microphone input
  • Split Screen: Allows inputs from two separate sources to be displayed side by side on the same screen
  • Advanced Network Control: RJ-45 and optional wireless connectivity allow for remote projector management and presentations over the network
  • Epson iProjection: Leveraging the Epson iProjection app, users can present from most iOS Apple devices running iOS 4.2 or later, including the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, and most Android devices running Android 2.3 or later; wireless module sold separately
  • QR Code Connection: New quick connect on-screen QR code provides access to content from smartphones and tablets
  • 3LCD Technology: Features the latest 3-chip 3LCD technology to deliver true-to-life color and detail
