Acer Gets Touchy with T2 Series Displays
The T2 Series is a new line of touch displays designed for use with Windows 8. The line includes the 23-inch Acer T232HL and the 27-inch Acer T272HL. Each one is Windows 8 compliant and can work with a new PC or an old PC upgraded to the new OS. Either way, you should be able to take advantage of the 10-point multi-touch features on Windows 8.
It also spruces up your desktop, thanks to edge-to-edge glass and an asymmetrical stand, which allows users to tilt the screen up to 60 degrees back. That kind of functionality is great for viewing photos and surfing the web, as well as for those times when you need to squeeze in a quick game here and there.
Other features include a full 1080p HD image, an in-plane switching (IPS) panel, a 100,000,000:1 contrast ratio, a 5ms response time, and the Acer eColor Management tool for tweaking image performance. Each one also has plenty of connectivity options, including three USB 3.0 ports with charging ability as well as VGA, DVI and HDMI ports for high-def viewing. The Acer T272HL also comes packing a vertical alignment (VA) panel, which boasts excellent viewing angles.
“The Acer T232HL and Acer T272HL were designed with the goal of maximizing the significant touch benefits of Windows 8,” said Chris White, senior director of product marketing, Acer America. “Delivering premium technology in a sleek, modern and flexible design, these new displays provide users with a dynamic visual medium that users can enjoy for years to come.”
Acer is selling the T232HL and the T272HL now for $499 and $699, respectively. Both models also come with VESA mounts for wall hanging.
