While Microsoft was pushing the ridiculous "Duke" controller as the standard for the original XBOX, Microsoft released a slimmed down version for the Japanese market known as the "Controller S." A year later, the controller not requiring over-sized mitts was the only XBOX controller worldwide. For the XBOX 360, Microsoft tweaked the Controller S design and crafted what has become one of the, if the THE, greatest video game controllers in the world.
Thankfully, Microsoft has saved PC gamers from using crummy alternatives with supported games with both wired and wireless versions available for Windows. After all, what better way to get a console control experience than an actual console controller... only for PC.
You have to hand it to Microsoft, they build one hell of a controller. Pricey? A little. Worth it? Hell yes.
