Best x86 CPU Vendor: CONCLUSION
We were impressed by the 54 percent vote that Intel received in last year’s best processor category. This year we narrowed the award to cover x86 processors only, and Intel boosted its share of the balloting to an even more impressive 78.7 percent, placing it well ahead of perennial rival Advanced Micro Devices Inc. and Taiwanese manufacturer VIA Technologies Inc.
