So Sabre has some formidable hand weapons to present to his offenders.. but would they be a match to something like these?
Some are single-edged, and others like these are double-edged. They have up to a 20" radius!!
A Snath is a favorite tool of older farmers.. anyone know what it is? Could be a formidable weapon also, without the added blade! |

Aye, it's a sicle. We had one of them in italy. Grab the top of the grain, and whack the bottom. Applies to foes too |

Just in case someone is curious about what a snath is, see for yourself.. they average about 5 feet in length. A very sharp blade is attatched to the bottom end, and was the preferred harvesting tool prior to the "machine age". The "Grim Reaper" has one similar, but without the "handles".

That Snath is just a handle for a common scythe.. long a favored tool of old farmers, for centuries. The blade was around 3 feet long, with a slight curve to it.. very large "cousins" to the battle knives that Sabre acquired. They were kept very sharp, and you had to keep a safe distance from other workers.. to avoid taking their legs off! As noted, the 'Grim Reaper' has one.. but not for harvesting grains!
Old drawing of one in use here. |
