Congrats lilpaki!
This is just a suggestion but maybe in the future, if there are any free giveaways, maybe they should be limited to members who have over a certain amount of quality posts (like 50, 100, 200, 300?).
Because I am sure that tons and tons of random people from the net registered for this giveaway. _________________ Main rig: 1/2" ID Water Cooled Lian-Li V2000B, Abit IP35 Pro, Intel C2D E6750@ -3.4ghz 1.3375v, Mushkin 2gb DDR2-800 996576, one terabyte storage, evga 7900GS KO w/ Zalman VF700-AlCu cooler, Swiftech Apogee GT water block, Ultra X2 550w PSU

True, but that is the point from the givers side is it not? _________________ Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted - Albert Einstien |

I think thats the point! To bring in more people to this site. Its just like give-aways on other sites is it not? To bring in more traffic? _________________ "You cant hug your family with Nuclear Arms"

should they not be allowed to? i mean should it just be the people that mod, heavily participate in this forum on a daily basis that get this chance? or should it be open to everyone? post count is bogus....we all know this. and how can you put a label on a post whether it was helpful or just spam? the logistics alone trying to count each post and deem it worthy would be nearly impossible.
whats good for one should be good for all.....IMO. _________________

Yeah I guess.....I didnt look at it that way.
Most of the forums do it that way though. It has to be for some reason.
I guess its good that we do it this way for the reasons stated above.
BUT random people can just throw their name in and move on? WTH is that? _________________ Main rig: 1/2" ID Water Cooled Lian-Li V2000B, Abit IP35 Pro, Intel C2D E6750@ -3.4ghz 1.3375v, Mushkin 2gb DDR2-800 996576, one terabyte storage, evga 7900GS KO w/ Zalman VF700-AlCu cooler, Swiftech Apogee GT water block, Ultra X2 550w PSU

Its kinda like offering the free small fries to the first X amount of people when they open a new McDonalds or something. Just to get people to come in and look around.
Thats how I see it at least. _________________ "You cant hug your family with Nuclear Arms"

I think it should be open to everyone. You cannot "categorise" people within these forums because the post count holds no value and doesnt mean anything at all; IMHO it used to but not anymore although there is some very rare exceptions. I think we should do more of these give-away thingies to encourage new people to join and to help spread the word |

erm i was just wondering if mobocop could give us the count on the people that enterd the draw, so we can see what the odds were.
also another way to get people more involved would be to make the comp more of a comp than a chance, for example answering a question that is relevant to motherbaords.org or a recent post _________________ to build or not to build,
that is the question? |
