Contrary to some recently seen opinions I have seen posted here, the rules in this forum are not lax. We do not tolerate personal attacks. If you see a personal attack or have been attacked please pm a moderator of your choice and it will get handled.
On the other hand we are not the Nazi Soup Kitchen either (as suggested in the recent past). We try to allow plenty of room for personal expression as long as it does not violate our personal attack rule (or other rules about pornography and cursing etc, as we have minors visiting the boards).
We have had another banning today due to personal attacks on another member. We also have reports that a long standing member will not be returning over this issue.
To top it off this little exchange happened on a new members post who was asking for help.
I hate seeing these things happen. These are pointless and everyone loses.
So to finalize the situation. Please dont attack others. That is not what this forum is for. There are plenty of other forums out there that cater and allow such behavior. _________________ Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted - Albert Einstien |

Just my 2c. I don't know the particulars of anything yet.
These forums are extremely fair and lenient. You do have to act like a socially responsible adult though. If you wouldn't do it in real life, don't do it here. The anonimity of the internet might make you feel like there is no repercussions and you can vent all your real life problems on other people, but that is not the case. People behind a screen name are just as real as you are and should be treated with the utmost respect just as you would want for yourself.
That is the golden rule.. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Its the one rule that has no base in either religion or state but in humanity. That is the rule that makes us who we are instead of just another group of animals.
That is also the reason why this forum is so attractive for people to just stop in and get a few recommendations or tech support. Our warm, inviting feeling will keep them coming back every time! In my experience of the internet, that is what creates the best forum experience.
Even when people come asking the same question as the guy before him its always good to give a warm welcome and help that person individually. Even that is so rare that I've only ever seen it in action on one other bulletin board which sadly isn't in existence anymore So to everyone, follow the golden rule and keep up the good work! _________________

Mobocop, I am glad to see you intervening. I feel it was required, and now, hopefully, we can all move on. Hopefully with this message, we can stop all of this permanantly. _________________ "We must embrace pain and burn it as fuel for our journey." |

That thread has been deleted. No sense in keeping bad memories around. _________________ The Gift of Healing

February wow. I must have missed it.
I was just curious to who the parties involved were more than the story line. Oh well. |
