The issue is between two methods.
1) LUMPED Forums: Hardware categories would not be broken out. There would be 1 support forum for all hardware issues. One recommendations forum for all recommendations, etc...
2) Breakout: There would be forums for each category of hardware that covers all issues about that category. For example motherboard forum would cover all motherboard issues, support, recommendations, discussion, etc.
I think both methods would resolve the issue of where to post. It is just a matter of what is the best method. _________________ Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted - Albert Einstien

I voted for the broken up version (i.e. non-lumped).. _________________ We Help You. You Can Help Us!

Lumps are bad. Bad in oatmeal, bad in mashed potatoes and bad when your doctor telly you he has found one.
The only good lump is a lump of gold.
Death to lumps. _________________ Antec NeoHE 550

When we can do subcategories in forums, then I say breakout. Until then, leave it as-is. _________________

Hey....I love lumpy mashed potatoes.
However I prefer the breakout method for this forum. |

i guess i missed the vote but i think there is 1 to many sub forums for the hardware forum
perhaps combine a few like cpu, mobo , memory
or something like that
also the trouble reporting forum could probably just be 1 since more than likely they will get mixed up
glad to see the general forum gone since it was at times but a 2nd watercooler
I have seen other forums with this layout and it does seem to look nicer
I like it |
