Any black belts wanna mention the importance of low latency pc3200 ram for performance on this build ?

Amd 64 memory controller is built into the processor. It's to my understanding that pc3200 with 2 2 2 5 or 10 latency is the way to go on the memory question.

Well I do have an AMD64, and I do notice a good performance increase w/ low latency memory vs regular. The gain is as much as going dual channel or more even. In games, about 10FPS on average. However, regular memory will still work well, it just won't give the top-end performance you see on review sites.

why just a blackbelt aren't many others like yourself capable of doing so.

@efrem9011
stay away from those 2 optical drives you were looking at
go with pioneer 108 oem, benq 1620, or nec 3500.

What do you mean stay away?
From the reviews and my research, it would seem that those two are awesome.
However, I'm gonna ditch the Plextor drive, adn probably only go with the Sony Double-Layer...
Thanx for input!! :D

Edit:Oh, yeah, I just noticed that someone mentioned OEM drives...I thought that they didin't come with any cables or drivers....??? Is this true?

THx

don't know where you looked at for reviews but the sony drives usualy use liteon oem drives and there are not that great. as for plextor, they are overpriced and the quality of burns is not as good as the drives I mentioned.

Has anyone ever owned, or owns, the Sony DRU-710A?
Can anyone give me a head-up on how it performs?
Thx! :D

that sony is a OEM Liteon SOHW-1633S
all dvd-writer made from liteons are pretty much average at best. very picky with media and will not always give the best quality. 1 word 2 describe liteon drives is inconsistent.
sometimes they burn well and sometimes they don't. someone elses may burn the same dvds better or worse than yours.
No I do not own that drive but if you read reviews on the drives you will get a better understanding.
