Make url links with text

Postby EmilyB » Wed Sep 01, 2004 11:55 pm

No I am not double posting :) :P I am just full of questions this morning :)

I understand how to make a url link in my posts with using the commands, but how do you clever people manage to give links a meaningful name? For example I have seen things like "Click here", or "My link" which when clicked will take the user to a webpage of some sort.

Sorry I am just curious and eager to learn :oops:

first type this:

then type this after the ]
whatever you want to name it

then type

To make a regular URL link, just type in the link between the start/end tags (replace the {} with []:

{url}http://www.misspebcak.com{/url}

To do the text URL:

{url=http://www.misspebcak.com}Watch yourself here!{/url}

Thank you, it was a little tricky picking the right bits out of the first post by a "quote" reply, although I think I got it :) Thank you for confirming things for me.
