Searched through HP website and didn't find any useful information
It's a socket 370 board (uATX form factor; i810e chipset) from a Deskpro EP (at least it says so at boot-up).
This is how it looks like.
CPQ Assy. No : 010945-101
CPQ Spare No : 174535-001
I'm afraid it's an OEM-only board so I would be very happy if someone could just give me the pinout of J37 (on the photo: above the black IDE connector on the right; power switch, power LED etc should be connected there). Quite difficult to find them out by myself because the board immediately powers on when I plug in the power cord to a wall outlet |

Thank you, Aussie, for your quick reply.
But unfortunately the pinout doesn't match with my board
But no problem - I used a LED (and a small screwdriver to find out the power switch pins - by risking to kill the board) and the good old trial and error method. Here are the results:
| Code: |
o o
o o
(missing pin) o
o o
o o
GND o o
PWR SW o o
PWR LED o o HDD LED
GND o o GND

Most of the pins seem to be unconnected at all.
The board seems to have some minor differences when comapred with BMW / BMW-2 / Mitac 6513WU:
* separate graphics memory
* SMSC LPC47B347 super I/O
* AD1881 sound chip
* weird Philips TDA7056B chip (never seen something like that on a motherboard before; mic preamp probably?)
If it had a socketed flash chip I would try to replace the Compaq BIOS (sucks IMHO) with the Mitac one...

A mono one
And there's only one of them on the board (on the photo: on the lower right corner)... |

For the built-in speaker at the back IIRC. _________________ We hate rut, but we fear change.

|
|
I have the same motherboard, CPQ Spare No : 174535-001.
I'm looking to upgrade the processor.. In the manual above it says its a 66/100/133mhz front bus speed, Is there any other place I could check on the board to find out the actual bus speed??? or in the bios?? the board is running now, operating a CNC at my work. The operator needs some more memory and we where thinking of updating the processor ( current 466mhz).
Any Thoughts please

Unfortunately the Hendrix board remains unknown at this time. The Mitac 6513Wu was a possability, but the two has significant differences...
If this system is running a normal OS (i.e. Windows 98/98SE/2000/XP) then you can download and run a utility such as Sisoft Sandra to check what the max processor and RAM would be... _________________ We Help You. You Can Help Us!

Hendrix:
lack of/different front USB connector
CMOS button versus a jumper
Intergrated BIOS versus socketed chip
Plus what has already been mentioned above
This is what I have noticed right away. I am not saying that the board may not be a Mitac board, but we dont have enough info to nail it down to a particular model/manufacturer at this point.
If anyone with this Hendrix board is willing to remove the board and look for other markings (i.e. PCB, PCA, etc.), we should be able to find at least the manufacturer. _________________ We Help You. You Can Help Us!
