no used 10mbit hubs for sale near you for a few bucks? Just daisy-chain them for the less-critical machines. _________________ We hate rut, but we fear change.

That's a viable option of course, 10Mbit hubs are near worthless these days. One of my suppliers has an 8 port 10/100 switchable hub for under AU$25 or a 16 port for under AU$65.
The 8 port is quite attractive at that price and could be used as you suggest.
I'll be placing an order with this supplier in the next couple of days so I'll give it some thought in the meantime.
Might have to give up smoking so that I can support my computer habit.

| Aussie... if you give up smoking, you'll have MUCH more available cash, and can eat rather than just smoke and upgrade... |

My smoking habit currently costs me AU$4.00 a day and rising, my consumption is stable but the government keeps jacking up the taxes to discourage us smokers.
Over AU$1400 a year would buy some mean upgrades.

I smoke "roll your owns" at the rate of a 50 gram pack every 5 to 7 days at about AU$22 a pack including papers and filters.
Been a "rollie's" smoker for years, can't stand "tailor mades", bloody 2 second fuses I call 'em.

| Still, the cost can be crippling even if yo uroll em yourself. I take it custom rolled ones can be made to your taste? |

And I thought €4.10/pack of 50grams was expensive... _________________ We hate rut, but we fear change.
