The fears that after meeting the 500 mark we would have to work extremely hard to move up are seeming to be quite false so far as we approach 400. I've read about people saying stuff like "i'm surprised we are still moving at a decent rate" and the views that members are getting is that we have started to slow down recently, but check this out:
Seems like in the last little while we have met absolutely no resistance and are still dropping like a rock at about the same rate we always have. But if you look very closely to the last bit of the graph you can see a very slight decrease in the slope, maybe this is a indication that bad times were not at 500, but in the 350 - 400 range.

| At this point, we begin slogging through mildly, to moderately active teams - they still have work units flowing in like we do... we were just cruising through dead ones before. The top 100 will be the hardest of all, where teams have 10+ HARDCORE folders, which may have 24/7 farms, much like our default_dave. |

Yes it's hopeless really. I think it best not to worry about our own rank--I don't think that will help advertise the forums or site or anything, because we wouldn't be able to get to top 100 for a long long while with many many more users--but instead to focus on the whole protein thing and whatnot, with all the diseases and stuff.
I'm assuming we'll hit an even point at 250-300 too. That would be quite an accomplishment.
If I knew how to keep this computer cool, I would leave it running 24/7 like my other comp.
Everybody who doesn't live in California and have to worry about electric bills and heat should install the Folding @ Home program, unless you hate humanity. You don't hate humanity, do you?

| We'll make the top 100 so long as we tr as to keeping that comp cool, just get a box fan and point it in, set to 3. |

How do the rankings work? I mean, if we're at 400 does that mean 400 for the week, month or what? _________________ AMD XP1700+
