Yes I think ur all getting a bit to technical with all these big names and I don't think your all thinking about this properly.......This is the Motherboards.org Folding Team forum so why name it anything else........Do u all intentionally want to confuse everyone??
sorry to sound so harsh but.....think guys.......this is not a very smart move. You finally get ur own forum after so much petitioning and the first thing u want to do is change the name?
So after u change the name will u go into the other forums and advertise that "Technology For Science Distributed Computing" really means F@H???
And before u all reply oh but we might have a SETI team.....well lets see if that happens and once again if u start a SETI team I don't think ur thinking about it properly. For every person who joins the SETI team thats 1 less processor that could be folding. If you want to hit that top 100 your going to need every processor you can get your hands on running at as close to 100% as possible. So lets all concentrate on folding and stop all this sillyness....lets get on with the job at hand and be grateful that we have our own forum.

Yep. Let's keep the current name. Therefore, I would like to recall and nullify my vote for "Distributed Computing". Again, To whomever it may concern, I want "Motherboards.org Folding Team".

Since the idea was orginally pass around for a team forum we may want to leave The folding at home part off. If I remember we wanted to get folding up in the top 100 then maybe add other at home teams. I thionk it should be more or less generic and stick to the Distributed Computing @motherboards.org name.

Yes, that was the goal, 1 team at a time. As to the cop giving us the forum, i think he became tired of hearing requests, or saw our need.

this thread was created as a spinoff from an old one and was made before this forum existed. i never much liked many of the choices either but they are the ones the people here submitted........but i like the current name
