| Thanks Tramp - a server farm is always good for folding (you WILL WANT to air condition that room though, otherwise, jsut put an oven door on it) |

I got a 3 Ton AC unit ... (not hooked up yet ... tech support has yet to get back to me with details (my Dad))
a 3 ton unit is designed for up to 3500sqft house I have a 1000sqft house so if I get it hooked up by tech support I will be able to hang meat in my living room!!!
Tech Support says they are trying to find a more APPROPRIATE unit for the square footage of my house !!!
something bout 1.5 - 2 ton unit |

Does anybody have an idea of how long it will take to fold on some older machines? I might be able to get access to about 4 or 5 266Mhz-300MHz POS systems and chain them together on my network at home. And what would be the best OS for them? And if i can find the specs on them I might even be able to upgrade them or even OC. Plus if somebody wants to send me a nice XP chip I have all the other hardware to go with it including a nice Gigabyte 7vkml mobo _________________ Amd Phenom 9500 Quad on a ECS a770m mobo

Now if only I can talk my boss in letting me install folding@home on the 25 computers at work we might have something to go on. But i think the main office will get just a little bit upset _________________ Amd Phenom 9500 Quad on a ECS a770m mobo

But what would be the better Os for them. since they would only be running F@H i would only throw in small HD (500M-1.0G) and maybe only 32-64 megs of ram. _________________ Amd Phenom 9500 Quad on a ECS a770m mobo
