| Hm. Try killing this program for a minute, and running some other spyware filters. It may be considerign them as spyware due to the fact that the board reads them to know who you are and that you're logged in. |

It's kind of ironic, but I ran across the same software by bulletsoft. After have already installed the Bulletsoft a while ago, I also downloaded and installed "Spyware - Search & Destroy" from another company/author.
When I ran S&D, as well as visited it's website, it claims that Bullet's Spyware Remover is Malware (ripped off the code from S&D). Okay. So good at heart, I uninstalled Bullet's software--but it keeps wanting to install itself every time Windows loads up!
It's becoming annoying, because the first few clicks on 'cancel' seem to not stop its persistance. The install file that was once in the temp is deleted so it can't install itself, but does it keep trying!
The program somehow lodged itself into my system to where I will remove it from the registry completely, but it reappears again..! Apparently it is somehow rewriting itself into the registry, and right now I haven't picked out how. So what's the real spyware, eh?
Hmm, a very prominent program indeed... _________________ "Be the change you want to see in the world." --Mahatma Ghandi |

I read the about the S&D program and how they claim that Bulletsoft stole their engine. If you run S&D it will actually show Spyware Remover from Bulletsoft as spyware. Who knows....I was just wondering what the cookies were for. My program automatically deletes them upon detection, so its no big deal. _________________ Athlon 64 X2 Dual (2.4GHz)

| Ecclead - kill it in temp, and go into msconfig, and look for anything suspicions, disable and delete. Also look in startup. |

Been there, done that, unfortunately. There is one file in the temp that won't allow me to delete it, because it is in use. There is no way to kill it as far as I know.
Also, msconfig only works with 98, I am running 2000 Pro. _________________ "Be the change you want to see in the world." --Mahatma Ghandi |

| do you have any access to a dos shell (boot disk) go in through there and kill the bugger. As to the ms config thing, it just works in the registry - you can find the values but it's hard to do... |

| Check services in your admin settings then. As for the cookies, I believe Tulatin hit the nail on the head. I could be wrong, but I've found nothing bad about these cookies. I use Lavasoft's Ad-Aware6 and it leaves them alone. They've been updating the program at least 2 times a week lately. |

If it says it's in use it's either listed in processes or registered. Search your registry for the filename and kick out the keys containing it. _________________ We hate rut, but we fear change.

In 9x OSs (possibly 2k as well), the boot up programs are coontained in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> Microsoft -> Windows -> Run . |
