It means it is not easy to find. You need to be lucky enough for someone to have a paper copy of the manual and reading this stuff...

8)

I have the time.... I'll wait....

Huh!

There is something about the second mobo:

http://th99.pley.org/m/U-Z/31875.htm
This looks like it... but there are more jumpers on my board.

This is my board image - looks pretty good. But damn no more info:
http://home.att.ne.jp/alpha/pcboard/0151NN.jpg

It belongs to this page:
http://home.att.ne.jp/alpha/pcboard/486g.htm (the most bottom image)
(info is corect: UNI486WB4407REV1.1)

...any suggestions?

Thanx for anything...
George

Info from TH99 isn't always complete, you are lucky as you are to find anything in the first place. DataExpert is no more and a manual for this board was never published online anywhere.

Do you think you hve enough info to setup the processor and the cache memory? The other jumpers not mentioned are usually not that critical.

2blackhead - have you revealed anything about the first discussed board ???? I'm using it with UMC U5SX 33 in my Linux box - but /proc/cpuinfo claims the CPU has ony 12.9 bogoMIPS - could it be due to lack of cache chips ??? Any idea what SRAM chips should I buy ?
THX
