Ok guys, it's about time we found out just how high you have been able to overclock. All you need to do is list your Mobo, CPU, RAM, cooling and what settings you have it at in the BIOS. I'll start the CPU cooking here and just copy & paste the format and supply your info.
MOBO: Abit KX7-333R
CPU: Athlon XP1700+ Thoroughbred
Ram: 256Mb PC2700 CAS2.5 Crucial
Cooling: Thermaltake Volcano 7+
BIOS Settings: 144MHz FSB/12.5x multiplier/CAS 2.5, everything else on fastest settings.
So, I have very easily (meaning ZERO stability problems) overclocked my XP1700+ to an XP2200+ (1.47GHz to 1.81GHz) and I didn't change the fan setting from the LOW position. I will continue to see just how high this Tbred will go, but for right now, that's the best overclock I've ever done with an AMD CPU.
Let's see what you got! _________________ The Gift of Healing

As you see ive had to much time on my hand I tried Clock Speed-Vs-Memory Bandwith as you can see by my benchmarks when I speed up the cpu and lower down the memory bandwith I got a lower score on test 3 of ut2003 but when I lowered down my cpu and brought my memory bandwith up my score beat of test 2 beat the $%^!@# out of test 3
all 3 test where run after the system ran stable no effects and my radeon running stock

My best OC To date? Since i don't have my P4 2 GHz yet - it have to say it occured with my old P3 1.2 GHz
Before
Motherboard: ASUS TUSL2-C
Processor: Pentium III 1200 MHz
Ram: 512 MB generic SDRAM
FSB: 133 Mhz
Voltage: 1.475v
39c processor temperature - full load
Cooling - Unknown Manufacturer - Copper heatsink, 23 CFM fan.
After
Motherboard: ASUS TUSL2-C
Processor: Pentium III 1500 MHz
Ram: 512 MB generic SDRAM
FSB: 166 Mhz
Voltage: 1.475v
40c processor temperature - full load
Cooling - Unknown Manufacturer - Copper heatsink, 23 CFM fan.
It was sweet while i had it... then i upgraded to a cellie 1.7 (which wont even OC 10%) |

Lets see, had a couple good ones..
I'll skip the no-brainer C300@550
MOBO: Asus P3V4X
CPU: Celeron533A@800
Ram: 128MB Crucial CL-2
Cooling: Alpha PEP66T w/7k Delta
BIOS Settings: 100FSB, 2-2-5, 4 way interlaced
MOBO: Abit BX6-2
CPU: Celeron1.2T@1488
Ram: 256MB Crucial CL-2
Cooling: Alpha6035 w/7k Delta & 100W Peltier
BIOS Settings: 124FSB, 2-2-5
AMD stats to follow, as soon as I get this EpoX system stable.
Unlocked my first XP chip, still playing with settings. _________________

Mobo: Giga-Byte 8IHXP
CPU: P4 2.4ghz 533 fsb
RAM: 512MB PC800 Samsung Rambus
Cooling: Volcano 7+ at low
BIOS: 156FSB Vcore @ 1.65
My temps are incredibly low so I could raise it much higher, but sadly with this board 156FSB is the highest it will go. Im running at 2.81 ghz. _________________ My NEW 3dMark score http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=4955820

My 1.7 celeron is running at 2.06 and has been for many months now, can have it up to 2.2 but tends to be unstable. _________________ MSI K9A2-CF v2

I left the volt at stock and upped the FSB to 125, I average temps at low 50's useing the pc alert program, but my temp is probably lower than that but not by much I'm sure. Whenever I try to up the voltage I become unstable, most of the time I cant even boot, but found if I leave it at 1.75 and just up the FSB I am good to go, as I said, 2.04 is exactly where it is now and has been for quite some time.
I cant think of anything else I may have done....memory is 266mghz ddr2100, other than that, noting special.

| it might have also been the fact that you're working with an MSI board... i've heard of cellie 2 GHz hitting 3 Ghz on MSI boards. Myself, i may not be so lucky (using the acorp 8d845a in all) which wont even let me use a 133 MHz fsb (if anyone can grab the amnual and make some sense of it i'd be grateful, as in mine 100/100/33 and 33/33/33 have the same jumper configs) |

I think so too, in fact my whole computer is nothing but MSI products, dvd, cd burner, agp card tv tuner the works, if they made a audio card I be a happy camper, I made the pc from scratch, modded the case by hand and it just got out of control, best parts, all thermaltake fans everything top of the line. It's a good thing I am single and live alone, the only way I could aford all this. But it was fun and in the long run it has payed off, I visit MSI forums often and see nothing but people putting down and haveing trouble with the products, but I am a firm believer of sticking with one product manufacturer and because of that, I have had NO problems at all. Kind of like putting a stereo system together and going with a sony left speaker, a pioneer right speaker, mitsubishi center speaker ect...ect.. your only asking for trouble not too mention crappy sound at best. Just my thoughts though.
By the way, my name is Paul...nice too meet ya! _________________ MSI K9A2-CF v2
