I'm brand new to this overclocking, so if I don't use the right words please forgive me. I have an old system that I thouhgt I would try some of this stuff on. It's an Anigma Pentium II motherboard 440 LX/EX with a slot 1 333 Celeron and American Megatrends bios OAAKO4O.
I have been working on it all morning trying to figure out how to up the front side bus from 64 to 100, or there abouts. I can find no info from the maker of the board or the computer company on how to do this. Is this board not capable of overclocking?
I do have Sandra installed, but it continuely reads the same benchmarks no mater what I change.
Is there some ancient secrect to this old board. If you have some answers please keep them simple, like me. Or if there is somewere to find them.

Welcome to the Mother Board!
Do you have the manual or at least the jumper settings for that board?
There should be a set of jumpers on it that should allow you to go to 75MHz for sure and possibly 83MHz.

The jumpers that are there are for the BIOS and CPU speed. The highest setting on the cpu is 333 at 66MHz. I don't have a manual, just a printout of the motherboard from the computer company. The info in the printout is basic and not in depth.
The cpu jumper settings are: 233
266
300
333 the highest and there all 66MHz
There are other jumpers on the board but with no explination as to what there for.
I'm not sure if I replied in the right manor, hope you read this.

Sounds like the FSB is stuck at 66Mhz FSB. The increments are based on a the multiplier, which cannot just be altered on an Intel Slot1 processor. There does not seem to be much of a way to overclock it.
Not unless there is a way to set the FSB a tab higher in the BIOS. Perhaps maybe a BIOS flash. Unfortunately I can't find much info from what you provided. Can you look on the board for any signs of a model #. It would be printed on the PCB.

This is a gateway motherboard
If the board settings are:
66/266
66/300
66/333
then the answer is NO overclock - other then installing a faster chip.
I have recently rebuilt a Compaq Deskpro with the same settings on the motherboard. After some research I found that on my board I could go up to a PII-366. I do not know if the gateway boards are capable of the same configuration. 
Hope this gives you some insight.
