Currently running an HD5770, but I'm now looking for something more.
I've got @ £200 to spend and was thinking nVidia (for a change), but for my money which would be my best route?
I work with video and photos, minimal gaming, and a boost to my folding would tip the balance.

Stay with AMD

nVidia may have the speedcrown but it comes with such a ridiculous pricetag it's really just about bragging rights... Lost any contact with reality there... _________________ We hate rut, but we fear change.

you can get a 2GB hd 7850 for around $180 US, or step up to an hd-7870 for around $230 US.
i've not had any luck with folding starting up on amd cards, yet. but i agree with evasive that it is the right card for you. _________________ my main rig...

That card is OK for what you want... Save the £200 for a complete overhaul in the future... _________________ I have been programming on computers since the ZX81.
