This concerns an XP Pro SP3 desktop PC. I have been a member for a few years and up until probably some time last year I never had the problem mentioned below. This typing problem happens on all of my computers, so it must be a website issue ??
The area provided in which to type a post or a reply to one is only so big. When typing and I run to the bottom edge of the area provided the typing continues but it goes out of sight and below the box where you can't see what you are typing. In order to see it I need to scroll down but as soon as I type anything it goes hidden again.
Also what is the best screen resolution in which to view this website? _________________ “Respect cannot be learned, purchased or acquired - it can only be earned” "Pay It Forward" |

Look for a 'speckled' area in the lower right corner of the text box. You can drag the box out to a larger size, and type away.
The HTML process defaults to a non-word wrap idea, so full words are carried to the next line of type. As to typing "out of field", that is likely a local problem with the OS setup. Check the 'properties' of your screen settings.
Default resolution would be minimal 1024x768, but in a 16:9 ratio, for up to around a 17" monitor. For larger monitors, going out to 1920x1080 should give decent viewing results. For older 4:3 monitor ratios, you have to scroll sideways to get a full image view. Seems that all Web sites now consider users have a "wide" screen monitor... same for TV viewers.
Those of us who still use "square" monitors have to bear with it, or go for new.
This is a listing of Resolution Standards For Graphics Displays:
