with windows it won't matter with the hardware behind it anymore. everything should handle a 64 or 32 bit installation. if you have a 32 bit windows though you will only be able to access approximately 3.75GB of ram. 64 bit will allow you to go MUCH higher - to the point that you run into limits of manufacturing.
i ran through newegg quick for some items, ran the bill up to about 5k in 5 minutes. still no hard drive(s)/RAID, misc fans, card readers, optical drive(s), monitor...etc...etc...
EVGA X79 Classified 151-SE-E779-K2 LGA 2011 Intel X79 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 XL ATX Intel Motherboard $414.99
Intel Core i7-3960X Extreme Edition Sandy Bridge-E 3.3GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 2011 130W Six-Core $1,029.99

Oh my like I said if this was for me that thing better be making me some money if I am going to spend that kind of cash...All looks great and I have sent it to him to see if this is something he is looking for...I am a woman who lives on a tight budget so this would be way out of my price range unless I could find me a rich man or win the lottery.... Oh btw he don't need a monitor, keyboard or mouse. He has all that and if he has to get a new one he said he will get that once the rig gets to him..Thanks so much for your taking the time to help me out here...

in the reviews for that power supply i read that some people commented it's not very quiet.
i'm not familiar with that PSU, and people's tolerances for noise very widely - but, i would suspect that's one of the weaker points of the components. maybe i'm paranoid, but i wouldn't hinge a $1700 build on a $65 PSU. that's just me.
the only thing i would immediately use in the Premium version of that motherboard is the onboard SSDD. i wouldn't have 6 hard drives. wouldn't have 4 GPUs. wouldn't have thunderbolt accessories. wouldn't utilize a 2nd lan connection.
again...just me.

So what your saying is you wouldn't have any reason to buy the Premium is that my understanding?
He wants quite so that PSU wouldn't work for him so could you please help me to find a good quite one please and does it seem that I have everything I need for this build and any comments on any of the other stuff?
Here is a link for another PSU that seem pretty good and there isn't a lot of reviews on it but it is a five star..

it does have pretty good reviews relating to how quiet it runs, and i am a fan of Corsair power supplies - so, consider me somewhat biased. i would rather trust them than Ultra brand, but i don't know much of anything about them so can't speak from experience or knowledge.

And ditched the Premium because it makes no sense here, you can buy the SSD seperately for less at 4 times the capacity...
For that model ULT-LSP750, under the Ultra label there's a product made by "ShenZhen RuiSheng Yuan" and so far I have not been able to track any inside picture of those so there's no way of their "using superior Japanese capacitors" claim is in fact, true. _________________ We hate rut, but we fear change.
