Hello,
I am wondering why the Gigabyte Z77-UD5H motherboard has two LAN chipsets : Atheros GbE, and Intel GbE.
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4139#sp
When / how / why would it use both ?
Does it enable a faster connection ? |

Not all that uncommon. One port could be dedicated to a local area net (Intranet) while the other could be dedicated to a wider or public net (Internet). Lesser security needed on local services, and the ports can be through-put when required. Or one port for a server library, the other for workstations. _________________ F@H.. to solve mankind's maladies.. in our lifetimes! |
