Hello.
My old video card has just crashed. I have a Nvidea 8800 GTS, for use on my Intel D975XBX2 motherboard. The spec sheet for the motherboard states that it supports PCI Express 16x... The problem I have is I don't know if that will backward support the newer PCI Express 2.0, 2.1, or 3.0 16x that I see on newegg.com. And currently there are only two 1.0 video cards for sale and both look like trash. So, I must ask, can the Intel D975XBX2 support the 2.0, 2.1 or 3.0 cards, or do I need to go the entire rebuild computer route?
Thank you in advance for any support provided. |

They should all be backward compatible... _________________ I have been programming on computers since the ZX81.
