It should take these:
| Quote: | Processor Support Socket AM3 (941 pin). AMD Athlon II X4 Quad, Athlon II X3, Athlon II X2. (Max 95W)
* AMD Phenom II X4 840 (3.2GHz)
*Athlon II X4 650, 645, 640, 635, 630, 620
* Sempron 140,
* Phenom II 705e, 700e
* Athlon II x3 405e, 400e
* Athlon II x2 215, 240e, 235e, 255, 250, 245, 240, 260u, 250u, 160u, 150u |
However, it may need a BIOS update to recognise the CPU...
The athlon 2650e was originally shipped with it ... It should take most AM2's without a BIOS update apart from the 7850...
However, I would be tempted to ditch it and get a new board, something like an ASRock N68S-UCC, that will support up to an AM3 hex core and will give the option for either DDR2 or DDR3 support. Those ACER/eMachines boards are terrible for failure.... _________________ I have been programming on computers since the ZX81.
