| Hi there ! I was looking for bios update to my mother board which is chaintech 9vjl3 and has phoenix award bios from 2003. Can anyone helpme sloving the problem? |

Evasive is your man here... Bear in mind Chaintech went out of business a few years back...

The latest one I have for that board appears to be dated september 22, 2003

I made the copies in 2006 so I am pretty sure they never released any newer version. Some things can still be enhanced/changed in existing bios files, so again, what are you hoping to get from a bios update for this board?

Well, I expect new functions like hardware monitoring, possibility of OC..
What do you suggest me ? |

There's no monitoring hardware on the board, the chipset is from 10 years ago, I suggest you start looking for a new board if you want to get more life out of this CPU/memory. It's not the bios that is limiting you here...
The real solution is of course buying a new system from scratch...

You might want to check this site.. http://www.motherboard.cz/driver/chaintech.htm
but I found no newer BIOS versions than what you have. I have a Chaintech 848P (Socket 478 with P4/800) that still works great, but the BIOS is only 02/2004.
Many manufacturers have 'folded' or 'faded' due to economic problems. Some had good products, and will be missed.. such as the recent news about the Kodak enterprise going into bankruptcy proceedings.
