So I've seen people on youtube who put there components in a fish tank full of baby oil. Is it really worth it? Or does it just look cool.
Do you ever have to change the oil? I would imagine it would get dirty.
Just curious if anyone has ever tried this or your thoughts on it. Id be willing to test it out on one of my computers, but want to see how much of this is just a big waste of time
Thanks guys!

if you want your computer running cold, try watercooling, i wouldnt suggest making a baby oil rig. ]
i have a friend that has a watercooled computer, that looks like its in a fish tank, but really the center of the fish tank is hollow, and only the sides have water, so it looks like the components are in there with fish swimming around.
you could try doing this. it would be a bit more functional than the baby oil rig, and in my opinion it looks cooler because you can actually have fish in there.
at the end of the day though its really all just a big waste of time |
