Yes, it is amazing... They are astounded the me, the humble step father is administrator on all the computers and they are humble users... And the reason being..... It takes me about 10 minutes to remove malware and viruses using my administrative account (password protected of course) than having to spend an hour or four recovering or reinstalling windows(7)
So as a tip, any computer, have a password protected admin or root account - Very important with windows - and set ALL other accounts to general user.. _________________ I have been programming on computers since the ZX81.

Oooo that and the sig tell me one or more of your customers have been treating you badly lately, care to talk about it?
Yeah, the alternative is make an image of the computer and restore that when they **** it up, being admin. Yes, all high-scores, saved games, favorites etc are gone after a restore, it will teach them to think before they click... _________________ We hate rut, but we fear change.

Well, lads PC got infected with a fake 'security scan' again (Torrents are banned)... Logged in as Admin, one quick run of Malware bytes, MS SE and CC, all is good.... _________________ I have been programming on computers since the ZX81.

Quite common to see those pop-up ads warning about a possible problem.. and the sucker takes the bait! And some of those malicious ads are activated when you click that "X" box to close the pop-up!! More reason to use a higher-security browser. Block those pop-up ads and third-party cookies.. and warn the user that "Next time you hose the system, you fix it yourself.. or pay me"!!
Too bad that unlike with hot stoves, you get burnt once.. and learn! _________________ F@H.. to solve mankind's maladies.. in our lifetimes! |

everyone, make sure your java is up-to-date. know a number of people getting infected through java ads on non-malicious websites.
