Its really too bad they abandoned work on the alpha version to utilize BOINC because it would have paved the way for people to join more then one project.

I run boinc now and then, usually World Community Grid, sometimes Rosetta@home. Always best to have 2 active projects, Boinc projects are well known for the lack of work and server problems.
The reason behind abandoning the Boinc version of Folding@home is a mystery to me.
