Dear motherboards community,
recently my parents decided that i can have a new computer and give my brother the old one.
and because i barely know anything about hardware i tought you may know much better than me i decided to come here.
so i need to get a strong gaming computer and the price should be about 1650 USD (a 100$ more or less will not make a huge difference, after all i dont get a new computer every day. ,no need to get a mouse neither a keybored nor a monitor.)
thank you.

| Frys.com has 2 hp pavillion systems that will work fine. One has 4 gigs of ram with amd propus 630 quad core for $499 (p6310f). The other one has a core i7 920 with 9 gigs of ram for $899 (e9290f elite). You can install a separate video card if gaming is your main usage. I don't recommend building your own. Oem is cheaper and you can still change out the power supply and video easily. They have the diamond radeon 5750 1 gb ddr5 video card for $109.99 after $20 rebate. This card should keep your games humming nicely. For the power supply, they have the corsair tx650 for $89.99 after rebate. It's the best, but check the specs on the system first and try out your video card before upgrading the ps, especially on the core i7 setup. It might work ok, depending on the video card you select. You will need to connect a power supply lead on most cards, so check the ps carefully before ordering. The corsair has all the connectors you will need. |
