If that memory was from Corsair, as noted, there would be a lifetime guarantee on the modules. Contact them for free replacements!
Even if a system has been in service more than a year or so, it is still "new" compared to being four years or so older. It is rare to find a bad BIOS battery in a 'new' system. But it does happen. _________________ F@H.. to solve mankind's maladies.. in our lifetimes! |

Bear in mind, too, that pretty much every motherboard made in the last ten years uses the exact same CMOS battery, so while the board may be brand new (or even a year old, if it's been on the shelf for awhile) the battery might be considerably older. Wouldn't surprise me to see a dead battery in a new board at all. _________________ Faster than the speed of snot |
