Overclocking i5?

Postby t-andrea » Thu Apr 22, 2010 2:42 am

Hi guys, I have an intel core i5 processor laptop by acer. Is it possible to overclock the chip and make it faster? I need it for high impact 3d games.

Really, not on any laptop. They don't have enough cooling to handle the higher temps a worthwhile overclock would produce. Heck, they even overheat half the time at stock speeds, if you don't have them set on something to keep the bottom vent clear.
Faster than the speed of snot

Two wrongs don't make it right, but I sleep pretty good at night
