You cannot 'legally' download them... If it is a prebuilt system ie HP, DELL or the like, you can buy the discs for about $30... It is easier, if you can to borrow one off a friend... Otherwise Google is your friend (torrents, but you can download s**t from them, so be very careful)....

Basically, look for "untouched" downloads. There are various modded downloads (Black, Elite, Tiny, Blah Blah Blah) where some kid with V-Lite stripped a bunch of stuff out and added a bunch of stuff in that isn't legal (cracked illegal software). MS doesn't charge for the disks, they charge for the key. You can download or borrow from anywhere. Look for a site that has a D in the name.......................but I didn't say that. wink

While there's nothing really shady about this instance (he does have his COA sticker, that's what he paid for) we don't publicly mention the method here for legal reasons. IF you're in the States, PM me your mailing address, I'll fire off a copy sans serial to you. THen do yourself a big favor, and put that disk as far away from anywhere a kid can reach as possible, and MAKE BACKUPS. I even go so far as to make an ISO image every time a service pack is released with the SP slipstreamed in, and reburn to save time later on during a reinstall. I keep that image on my backup HDD as well, along with a clean, untouched version with no SP's or patches at all.
