A 1-2-2-3 beep code pattern means that there has been a BIOS ROM checksum error. Literally, this would indicate an issue with the BIOS chip on the motherboard. Since replacing a BIOS chip is often not possible, this Phoenix BIOS issue is usually corrected by replacing the entire motherboard. |
Replace the bios chip with another one. It's possible the other bios that is flashing succesfully is not using the damaged cells in the bios chip.
What is the bios chip type number? _________________ We hate rut, but we fear change.

I've used a new chip and a new battery on the ami board and uniflash gave me the same thing... xxxxxxxxokokokokokok. Probably I need a Phoenix board to flash the aquanta chip by using phlash.exe and platform.bin files.

The aquanta chip type number is SST 29EE020/5V.
Do you think an external EEPROM programmer could help? |

Are you flashing the chip including boot block when using uniflash? Oh and please post the link where you found that crisis recovery disk, we may make one with the V60X bios and try it that way. _________________ We hate rut, but we fear change.

Yes. But I've tried also excluding boot block.

I sent you a pm with the link. However I uploaded the crisis recovery disk on rapidshare. Here is the link http://rapidshare.com/files/372079965/CRD268076.tar.gz.html
You can read the article here (the link for the CRD is inside but you have to register to download from there) http://www.theeldergeek.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=38818

I've tried to boot the phoenix board by pressing several key combinations (win+F, win+B, ALT+F, ALT+B, ALT+ESC and so on) but it never booted.
Now I'm looking for a new phoenix board to use with phlash and V60X file.... |
