|
|
I'm baffled as to why there are no MOBOT listings whatsoever for (what I consider to be) a significant feature of any motherboard:
the number of onboard USB slots and
the option to restrict products with the newly emerging USB3 standard.
For me, this won't be a feature I'm concerned with, it will be the feature from which every other aspect of the motherboard will be chosen. It can't be that difficult to include two more menu boxes. Or . . . did I miss which drop-down feature they're hiding in?

Mobot needs some maintenance as a whole. But you are right, this would be a nice feature just as sata3 would be. _________________ We hate rut, but we fear change.

Giant fonts. Screws up the menu system.
The forum staff that work on that part of the site are a little overwhelmed at the moment. Staff being a singular person. Give him time, it'll get updated eventually. _________________ Mine go to 11 |

Oh dear. Eventually doesn't sound promising.
Can you (or others) recommend a MOBOT alternative in the meantime?

But a reseller nonetheless, and not a web bot, which is what I was specifically soliciting other ideas for. I can use shopping search engines of course, but it would be nice to be able to filter on more than just one feature. Ah well. When all else fails, there is always . . .

I use those two for newer stuff, for general peeking on a question. Newegg is very good with specs, and geez.....if you can't get a hit on Google, you're typing backwards.
Otherwise, I use the manufacturers sites.
This all makes me wonder how people maintained computers more than ten years ago...... _________________ Mine go to 11 |

The problem is I won't get one hit, I'll get 435,000. But of course you knew that when you casually dismissed a serious inquiry with a non sequitur. As for technical specifications, TIGER DIRECT is far superior. I've contemplated the ASUS P6X58D but the problem is that only 2 of the available 8 USB ports are USB 3.0.
Ah well, I've waited this long I suppose I can wait another year for the technology to fully propagate. See you all then (with a hopefully updated MOBOT).
