Virtual Fairground announces today that it is developing Wonderland MMO, a virtual world and MMO game for teenage girls based on the famous story Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.

Fans of Left 4 Dead have unified as a community group in Steam to protest the release of Left 4 Dead 2. They believe that the game should be released as a free DLC pack for the original Left 4 Dead. As of today, there are over 19,000 people registered and that number seems to be growing rather quickly.

Later this summer, Turbine is launching Dungeons & Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited. This will essentially transform DDO into a Free 2 Play MMORPG. There will still be a subscription for “VIP” status and an added “Cash Store”, but no payment is required to play the game. It does appear as there will be some limitations to the free account, less classes, items and areas to explore. But, according to the FAQ below, the free accounts will be 100% playable with out any monetary contribution.

StarCraft II will be losing one of the franchise’s most popular features – LAN Support. In an interview, Rob Pardo, VP of game design indicated that LAN would not be supported for the upcoming RTS sequel. “We will not support it,” he said. Instead, the only multiplayer for the game will be found through Battle.Net, Blizzard’s online service that is currently being redesigned. We contacted Blizzard for confirmation and were told that it’s true that StarCraft II will not support or feature LAN play at all. READ MORE...
