Thanks dude! Lots of things have happened between updating this project, first off, a big Congrats to Nate! (CustomPCMax) the happy father of twins, a boy and girl!
I'm picking up the camouflage Psyko Audio headset from Brad today. Yippee!
Next up for the german wwII camo paint, this 15" HD/TV LCD, small, but it's all I have available.. Hey, add a handle and it's a nice mate to our panzerbox. I'll have to look into the handle option.

If you followed my District-9 project, I did some fake bullet holes in the window. It only seemed natural that this PC get the same treatment..lol
Using 3/8 drill bit.
To create spiderweb cracks, I etched the surface of the window with a Dremel and these engraving bits

| I heard back from James at PsykoAudio, he suggested turning off the cmss settings in the X-fi software, and turn on EAX. I will check into these setting later today. |

Good thought.
Guess you have the "holiest" case around!
Happy Day!

Thank you for the kind words! I am resuscitating this log with a new update. The project was put on the back burner while Nate and I were occupied with other obligations. I've ditched painting the 15" LCD until I can afford something bigger. I'm also swapping out the Razer Lycosa KB to the Logitech G15 KB. I dismantled it yesterday so it can be painted with WWII German Camo, similar to the Panzerbox bezel.
You must remove all of the Black screws on the back of the G15 KB.
Gently push open the the Black tab, to pull out the ribbon wire connection.
Once inside the KB, 19 Silver screws that must be removed.
After the 19 screws are removed, you must gently pry open the Grey plastic tabs that hold on the Grey trim piece.
The KB trim piece will be painted WWII German Camo
The Logitech badge pops off with ease. It would be cool to mill a new badge from aluminum, maybe the German cross?
The G15 lens should remove easier by applying pressure from the inside out with a finger.
I used a model knife to peel off the right side indicator lens
4x Silver screens fasten on the LCD bezel to the KB.
G15 LCD bezel buttons removed. The frame of the window will be painted. |

Updating the rear 120mm exhaust fan with the new Overkill "Sniper" grill, I have Silver version, but you can get Black anodized Overkill Grills from Performance-PCs
The NZXT Panzerbox wide chassis is ideal canidate for the Overkill grill. Most cases may require major modification to your chassis and side panel to clear 5.5" wide grill if mounted over the rear exhaust.
I use SEM brand Self Etching primer to paint the bare aluminum grill Matte Black. This paint is made for bare metal surfaces. You need to wear a filtered respirator mask and apply in well ventilated room. It's very TOXIC when it's airborne.
The billet Targeted grill looks cool, but a bit flat looking in comparison
POW! what a difference.

The Logitech G15 and G7 Laser Cordless Mouse are prepped and ready for WWII camo paint. As I stated eariler, it was really nice of Razer to sponsor the build, but after a few months of usage, I'm not a fan of the light weight plastic used in their products. I fear they would shatter if they ever dropped off my work shop counter.
I will post more pics of this stage tomorrow!
