I have an ASUS P5B Deluxe that I am tired of tracing down problems. I want to replace it with a more stable MB. I use the on board Intel Matrix Storage Manager to handle a RAID 5 configuration of 4 x 250 GB SATA disk drives. I want to be able to carryover the RAID 5 intact. I have looked at Intel MBs but am thinking there may be other MB manufacturers who can handle the RAID 5.
TIA |

Many brands/models of mobo types that can support a complex RAID array. But whenever the OS detects a major change in hardware or features, it will self-destruct. Best option would be to find another brand but same model of mobo, to avoid the hassle of reinstalling all programming.
NewEgg has a few listings similar to that Asus P5B model. _________________ F@H.. to solve mankind's maladies.. in our lifetimes! |
