|
|
Hi
I'm trying to create an activity light ofr each of my current 4 but planned 8 sata hard drives. I will need two LED's per hard drive.
I'm not aware of a motherboard that does this and I don't want to spend a fortune on one that does.
Does anyone know of a way of attaching an LED to the hard drive to give hard drive activity?
Thanks |

The really old (when they were only a few megs big) hard drives had the Activity light connected directly to itself rather than the mobo. A few new HDDs have an LED on the board itself.
Not sure if you want to go to these extremities, but you could solder the wires onto the board. |
