This may have been already posted but a section on building and configuring HTPCs. What OS would be the best to use. What TV cards to use. I plan to build a HTPC using my old rig,
(Chaintech 7NJS mobo, XP 2600, 1 gig ram, Ati 9800SE graphics card).

I just thought it might be a good dedicated thread as a lot of people keep asking me what I know about building them, which, other than the fact that they are computer, is not a lot. They also seem to becoming a source of great interest given the advances in TV and entertainment technology.

I agree entirely. Threads on the subject are of course necessary and I would even encourage a Sticky thread full of FAQ's, but I think a whole forum is OTT. |
