Welcome to Motherboards.org!
Check that the processor is supported by the mobo design. Memory will need to be compatible, also. If the memory and processor are moved to a new mobo, chances are likely all will be GTG.
However.. you will need to reinstall and reactivate the OS, when changing a motherboard. This is due to the major differences in chipset type and other features of the board. You may be lucky to get the older OS to boot in 'safe' mode, but if allowed to boot in 'normal' mode, it will detect differences, and go belly-up. Part of the EULA concerning "one OS issue, one install, on one system". _________________ F@H.. to solve mankind's maladies.. in our lifetimes! |
