Isn't it called 'Neighbours' or 'Home and Away' (Aussie soap operas - more like bad comedy, does anyone know Prisoner Cell Block H, soo bad it was good!!!!)

Heh heh.
It's easy to tell that good ol' England is the main importer of our Aussie soaps.
Still, they are a class above the American stuff that is plastered all over our screens of an afternoon to entertain the bored housewives.

| My allergies knocked me out for about a week one time a few years ago, and since there was nothing on TV I watched soap operas. Those are so bad they're funny sometimes! I think that week must have been Evil Twin Week-- almost every show had somebody's evil twin trying to seduce people, destroy careers, etc. |

Only on soap operas can the kids age 15 yrs over the weekend and mom and dad never age a day. The bad guys never really die. I got in that rut for a year after a bad accident and couldn't do much else but watch TV.

As to the posts about strippers and stripping I worked as a Bartender in a exotic dance club for three years and there are the poor girls that do it just for the money but to lump them all together is bigitry (in my eyes)
I know alot of dancers and some of them come from VERY wealthy familys and some from street corners I did notice one trend though that alot of them were in college trying to better them selves and dancing paid the bills for them. Also if you have never been to a strip club or ever would go to one what are you bascing your opinion on what the liberal media says about the industry if so you are looking at it in a much diffrent light than I do sure there are the women that strip and hook but they usually get fired quickly or wind up in jail. so to call a kettle black without knowing what a kettle really looks like is just wrong to me You tell me where an uneducated young woman can make $2000-$10000 a week and still have time for school and I'll pack the lobby with people wanting the job

I'm not sure if this is worth responding to, so you'll get an answer that to me is next to worthless...
I've known a few strippers who told me about their jobs, and the figures you published above are not close to accurate for most strip clubs. There are the small percentage of upscale places and then there are the majority of places.
"To better themselves...?" How do you better yourself by cheapening yourself? If George Bush were here he'd call that "fuzzy logic."
It seems there are two kinds of people in this world: those who don't get laid and need to go to strip clubs to see live naked women, and those who don't. I'm sorry, that's a particularly crass way of putting it... let me try a different way: One type of man wants to look at what he can't have, and another type of man doesn't want that kind of woman whether he can have her or not. How's that?
Maybe some men have had enough of cheap women and want something else, maybe they want sex to mean something for once, and they think that strippers are kind of gross... and other men stand on the other side of the bar wishing in one hand and pouring drinks in the other. I'll bet you're one of those bartenders that doesn't put enough vermouth in a martini.
