We had an IMac in the shop a month or two ago. It was really great; at some point in time it ended up being upside down on the workbench and it looked like some small four-legged, cycloptic animal had died on the bench. I had to fight the urge to get the masking tape and put a big "X" over the monitor. Regardless, you probably could find a few scrapped shells and use them to mess around with placement and such. I mean, you basically need to find a mobo that has what you need on it that will fit the dimensions given. It probably won't be much of a PC but it could work.

Toaster PC

If somebody can fit it into a toaster, it can be fit into an iMac.

The powersupply and the monitor are the biggest problems that I forsee in the project.

use the via epia mini itx board

its probably the smalest mobo on the market.

on board video lan audio tv and s-video out

takes sdram 133

no flopy controler 8)

2 ide 100 ata

1 pci slot

cheap and has processor built in

mhz models range from 533-1000 the 533 model has a fanless heat sink so it is silent.

good cheap board :D

OK. I know this post is REALLY old.
But that sure is one way to burn a CD/DVD!
