I sent a support request to "[email protected]" and received the notice below. Is this the correct way to address an inactive account issue?

Re: [email protected] Mail Delivery Failure
Thanks for the reply, Karlsweldt. The message below is what I tried to sent to [email protected] Has this mailbox changed?
Jake
****************************************************************************************
In 2003, I discovered this web site and was a fairly active member for several years until about 2007 or 2008. My ISP changed and I went about changing my email address on motherboards. I’m sure I made an error of some kind in this process, but the end result was I couldn’t log onto my account. I tried resetting my password, but motherboards, at this point, did not have my current email address. I sent numerous emails to the moderators and never got a response.
A few days ago I created a new account. Can I get my old account re-activated? .
Old User Name #####
Password ######
The note below is currently posted on the motherboards.org web site in the forum “Inactive Account Issues”. But when I sent mail to that address, it bounced back

Problem: Occasionally when registering or changing your password or email address the confirmation email does not seem to making it out. This will leave your account in an inactive state.
Solution: Send e-mail to [email protected]. Please send this from the email address you registered with.
MAKE SURE TO INCLUDE YOUR USERNAME
NOTE: Please do not just re-register with another username. If you follow these simple instructions we will activate your account as soon as humanly possible and send you an email.
***********************************************************************************
Edit: Took out your user name and password, to prevent someone else using it.
Will remain secure with me, until issue is resolved. ..Karlsweldt.

Re: [email protected] Mail Delivery Failure
Blocked out your user name and password to prevent someone else using it. It is secure in my cache.
Found your original listing in the member list.. May 2003 it was! Should still be valid.
Either evasiveor Toby b. should be able to rectify the problem easily.
If no action in a few days, will EM evasive to check into it.
