Hi Karlsweldt, thanks. That sounds like a good idea, but while shopping on eBay, I found a PCI-E card that has two USB3.0 ports, a SATA port and a 20 pin connector. I think that would be better even though it costs a bit more and it would have a lot longer shipping time since it comes from Asia. I'm not in a rush. I don't have any USB3.0 connectors on my board, so I would have to plug the cable into a USB2.0 connector which I believe would compromise the USB3.0 data flow. I happen to have a spare PCI-E slot on my board. Here is a picture of it.
